The Persian Larder
Saturday May 9th 2026, 14:00-16:30 IN PERSON
Service Description
Step into The Global Larder and embark on a culinary journey to Iran! Learn how to make aromatic Persian dishes using authentic herbs and spices and traditional ingredients such as barberries. We'll be making Zereshk Polo ba Morgh, a classic Persian chicken dish slow cooked with saffron and barberries, as well as learning how to cook rice the Persian way. To accompany, we have Kuku Sabzi, a herb packed frittata which is perfect for soaking up the delicious sauce. Age 16+ Laura wrote, "I booked the Persian Larder class as a birthday gift for our daughter and both myself and my husband joined her for the class. I am a self-confessed "desserts only" cook but Pete's careful instructions and helpful tips made cooking the menu super easy. Kudos to the washer-uppers as well, good job girls! Our class was in the afternoon which meant we went home and shared a tasty Persian Saffron Chicken and fragrant rice with a kuku sabzi to soak up the lovely juices. Thanks to Pete and the team - a great way to learn knew skills and spend time as a family."
