Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions set out details which will apply to any booking you make on our courses and govern our relationship with you in relation to your booking, together with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website.

Payment

Payments need to be made in full at the time of booking. We don’t accept provisional bookings and cannot guarantee your place on a course until we receive full payment. We accept debit cards and PayPal payments.

Once you have made your booking, we will send you confirmation of your order by email to your nominated email address. In the unlikely event we do not accept your booking we will fully refund any payment already paid by you.

Health & safety

We take health and safety very seriously and ask that everyone attending a course do the same. When attending a course, we ask that you:

-
Comply with all our instructions, including in regard to health and safety
-
Wear appropriate footwear (i.e. flat covered shoes, no open toes) and sensible clothing
-
Tie back long hair in the kitchen
-
Wear minimal jewellery

If we think you are acting in an unacceptable or unsafe manner, we may have to ask you to leave in which case you will not be entitled to a refund.

We are not liable for any loss and/or damage that occurs to clothing or other personal items.

We are not responsible for any injury suffered by you whilst on the course unless it is caused by our negligence.

Dietary requirements, food allergies & illness

It’s important to inform us by phone or email at the time of booking or before the course of any food allergies or intolerances, dietary requirements, disabilities, diabetes, pregnancy, epilepsy, learning difficulties or other circumstances which may affect you in participating in the course. We will do our best to accommodate any allergies and intolerances, but we may be unable to tailor our course content to your special dietary requirements.

We are happy to discuss course content beforehand to allow you to make your own alternative eating arrangements if it is not something we can accommodate.

Cancellations & refunds

You have a right to cancel a course booking at any time up to 21 days before the date the course is due to commence, by notifying us in writing (by letter or email). In such circumstances, we will issue you with a credit note to the value of the price you paid for the course. The credit note can be used towards booking an alternative course within 12 months from the date of issue. We will not refund the price paid.

Courses cancelled by you within seven days of the course date are non-refundable and you will not be issued with a credit note.

You may request to send another person in your place, however you must provide us in advance with the name, dietary requirements and contact details of anyone attending in your place. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, if that alternative person’s requirements for the course are significantly different to your own, we reserve the right to reject that request.

We reserve the right to cancel your course by giving you notice. In the unlikely event that we cancel a course, we will either offer a suitable transfer to an alternative date or course or, if there is no suitable alternative date or course, a full refund of any course fees already paid at time of cancellation. Unfortunately, we cannot be held liable for any third party costs, such as travel bookings or accommodation.

Gift vouchers

Course bookings paid for using gift vouchers carry the same cancellation policy as above. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash but are transferable, so if you are unable to make your course, you may contact us to nominate a replacement (although the above cancellation terms will apply). Gift vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issue.

Photography

We reserve the right to photograph classes on occasions, for promotional and publicity purposes.

Liability

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we will be responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

We will not be liable for:
-
Any accidental damage or injury arising during the course or resulting from the actions or omissions of anyone attending the course
-
Any damage or injury arising from consumption of food made during a class which is consumed off our premises.
-
The loss of, or damage to, any personal possessions - please do not bring to the School any items of special value
-
Any indirect, special or consequential loss.
However, this does not affect or limit our liability for:
-
Personal injury or death arising from our negligence
-
Our fraudulent misrepresentation
-
Any other liability which cannot be legally excluded or limited.
We also cannot be responsible for any failure to perform our obligations under these Terms that is caused by events outside of our reasonable control (for example war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster).
