MY STORY
Hi I'm Pete!
My training at the famous Leiths School of Food & Wine, where I graduated as the Laurent Perrier Student of the Year, gave me solid technical skills and the ability to understand and explain challenges in the kitchen.
I went on to work for some of the biggest names in cookery, running the Women’s Institute's cookery school, and more recently teaching for Waitrose, and the global icon that is Gordon Ramsay. This has given me real insight into what home cooks really want to learn - and how they want to learn it. I even picked up a national teaching award along the way.

I have a lot of experience working with children and have taught food and nutrition at both Key Stage 1 and 2, as well as in secondary school to year 9. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
Everything I teach is designed for the home cook, the teaching environment is calm and the classes are fun. As well as traditional foundation skills I have a real interest in global cuisine, and have travelled (and eaten) extensively across Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia. My Chinese and Indian heritage fuels my love of spices and exciting flavour combinations.
Above all else I love teaching enthusiastic cooks with open minds and adventurous taste buds.
